| Reaching Your Potential by admin | ||
Reaching your potential sounds like something hokey you would expect a motivational speaker to say. It always sounds like some far fetched dream that never materializes in a person's life. Sometimes it may seem so far fetched because very few people actually get there even though it is very easy to do. Very easy to do? How? Here is an idea to help you reach your potential.
Improve youroverall life by 10% each year. What would happen to your life if you improved it by 10% each year throughout your entire lifetime? Think about it for a moment. If you would adopt this philosophy, wouldn't it be just a matter of time before great things constantly happen for you? How much better would a company be if collectively every employee vowed to improve by 10% each year?
This can be executed in a variety of ways. How about making one extra sales call a day? How about attending one extra networking event a month? Maybe, you are in customer service and you remember to always smile, say thank you, and learn to repeat customers by name. What if you just learned one extra function of your computer or software each month? Now, imagine if every employee buys into this concept there would be some extra $ trickling down to the bottom line.
Just think how much better a marriage would be if both husband and wife improved as a spouse by 10% each year? This could be as simple as each of them planning one extra romantic dinner a year or an extra romantic getaway a year. If most struggling couples did this for only one year it could be enough to keep the word divorce out of their thoughts; not to mention a lifetime of improvement. How much better would your life be if your kids brushed their teeth 10% better every year, cleaned their rooms better by 10% each year, studied better by 10%, talked back 10% less?
So there you have it, one very simple little concept that is easy to implement that can drastically change your life. If you are one of those people that are out of touch with yourself and have no clue what to work on, ask those around you, they will give you a laundry list. Improve your life by 10% each year and there is no doubt you will reach your potential.
